Launched in January 2020 in Davos by Refinitiv and the World Economic Forum, FoSDA began as a multi-stakeholder alliance and evolved in 2023 into a fully independent, standalone membership organization. Its mission is to be the voice of the sustainability data and analytics ecosystem—bringing deep expertise, thought leadership, and multi-stakeholder engagement to the table.
Through advocacy, education, convening, and knowledge-sharing, FoSDA helps ensure that data—the foundation of sustainable finance—is robust, accessible, and fit for purpose, empowering capital markets to deliver real-world impact.
FoSDA exists because when sustainable data is done right, sustainable finance can truly work.
Advocacy and Policy Engagement
Leverage data expertise to inform the development of global regulations in sustainable finance by ensuring the data ecosystem’s perspective is clearly articulated.
Educating and Convening
Develop data-led content and convene debates and knowledge-sharing across sustainable finance stakeholders, including offering insight to other organisations seeking to improve global sustainable finance regulation and implementation.
